My speakers hit puberty!

When certain sounds play, my speakers crack. Sounds such as starpost dings and monster pops. I've tried turning off hardware acceleration, but it didn't help. Anyone know how to fix this?

I think mine was fixed like this:
Go to control panel. Click on "Sound Effect Manager".
Environment: Speaker , <None>.
How I did mine.

Erm, I don't see "Sound effect manager".. you must have a different control panel.

This means one thing Shuffle, your speakers fail so badly.

Also, I know it sounds wierd but check the wires and connections. You know how is a wire gets twisted round something or something like that it craps up?

I had something like this too a while ago. I found the cause was that I had a mp3 file in my music.dta! Make sure your music files are OGG/MIDI, and your sound effects should be doom wave.

Shuffle, what's your audio device? Is it onboard or is it a SoundBlaster?

It's onboard. But so was my last one, and it worked fine..
