The review.
So I downloaded the wad, and here is the review.
Hmm so I downloaded the level from sendspace, and decided not to download the new enemies, because I review levels not custom enemies, unless there part of a level pack. So I see there is a 4.96 MB download, so I figure there must be a lot in this file to make it so big, so I played it, and that's when I noticed that I got very little for that massive download.
First off the file only contains 1 three act level, and while custom level select pictures are there, they are not resized, so to get to a level you just have to guess what the levels picure is for, but there is only three maps, so it's pretty easy to figure out. There are quite a few problems in those levels as well, and the all black level clear screen isn't cool, it just shows how cheap this level is. I know this is your first level, but still it has so many things that make it obvious, that it's your first level.
ACT 1:
Well there are some one sided linedefs, a lot of missing textures, it's short, and it appears that the goal of this level was to see how many textures you could use, swarms of enemies, extremely cramped, death pits, detons, jettysyns, it's like the whole purpose of the level was to be annoying, and playing it on multiplayer mode helps, because it reduces the swarms of enemies when you fall in a pit or somethings, or get hit by one of the hundreds of enemies when you have no rings. The level is really annoying.
Act 2: Hey look were outside now, more missing textures, short, some afall, and invisible water, and walls you can pass through. Hey at least it's easier than the last level.
Act 3: Hey look more missing textures, and the cramped boss fight area, makes it really easy. This is not very good.
So in short this level is obviously a first level, the missing textures, invisible water, the pass through walls, the random textures, the swarms of enemies, and the lack of starposts all prove that, the all black title screen, the fact that the custom enemies aren't part of the wad, the bad level design, and the shortness of the level, also show that this level is the first level from somebody new to level making. This is a lot like my first level, with it being somewhat cramped and all, and it tried a lot of the things that I tried in my first level, but at least mine make some sense, and I didn't try to use almost every texture, I ran into some of the same problems I found in your level, when making my first level, but I took the time to debug it, some stuff is still there, but this level has a lot of technical issues with texures and water, and the level design doesn't help to make the level less annoying. This level has a lot of things that are wrong with it, and like a lot of first levels has quite a few things wrong with it overall. The level gets a 5.8/10 because while it may have a lot of problems in it's level design, as well as some technical issues, it still is your first level so some things are just things that you still need to learn for the levels that you might make later.
That is the review.
