My computer is lagging horribly on various things...

It started earlier this evening, when I noticed that any use of the Mode 7 EX extension in Multimedia Fusion 2 Developer was killing my framerate. Then, I noticed that Adobe Flash Player was lagging too. What might have happened today to cause this, and what should I do to try and fix it?

Have you tried reinstalling Java?

Something similar occurred to me last week, my computer had the most random, yet significant change in framerate whenever I decide to open my Internet browser, or view something that uses Flash.
Then action center came out of the blue and tells me that I may have to reinstall Java. Guess what, I'm not lagging anymore and everything is as responsive as it originally was.

Just tried it. It didn't help.

I also tried a System Restore, which didn't do anything.

MMF's Mode 7 extension is poorly written and very slow. This isn't a problem with your computer. Similarly, Flash also tends to be very slow. Again, not the fault of your computer.
