So a mp3 can't be used as the sound effect instead of a wav?

It can, but it is HIGHLY unethical, mp3s are HUGE no matter how long or short they are. Google an audio converter and switch to .WAV.

Actually some of the best sounding MP3 files that I have found only take up 1 to 4 MB and sound awesome.(sound as good as any OGG format music.)

It's best to use .wav for short sound effects.

Nothing else. Never use mp3 or whatever. If you have found a mp3 thats totally awesome, at least convert it to whatever suits the situation.

Ok but i'll only use the converted music if it is smaller/same size as before converting not if it is bigger.
