Moving Platforms

I've been editing SRB2 for quite some time now and I've been wondering how exactly you make platforms move up and down.

I've looked at the tutorial on how to use linedef 232 and 233, but its kind of confusing and I was wondering if anyone would help me by giving me a more "in-depth" tutorial on how to do this.

It would be greatly appreciated.
