Midtexture alignment oddity

In my map, I have a midtexture that shows up perfectly in Zone Builder:

But in-game, it looks very broken:

Why's that?
 
What's the width of the midtexture in pixels? It needs to be a non-zeroth power of 2 (2 4 8 16 32 64 etc) in order for the Software renderer to accept it.

Also, sneaky stolen Smiles life icon. You should probably recreate that with the longer snout from the skincolour contestesque sample sheets.
