Metal Sonic ability design contest?

While this may probably be seen as a what if or mod suggestion thread, I bring up the idea since I don't really know where else to post this. Since a while ago there was a sonic ability design contest, since metal's also getting a revamp most likely in future releases, would the same thing for metal be a good idea?
