Mephiles's stripes are grey, not blue.

well, i was searching mephiles on youtube, and you wont believe how many people think mephiles's stripes are blue.

SADX Hack: Mephiles = Blue stripes
Sonic Heroes hack: mephiles = blue stripes
Mephiles in SRB2 = blue stripes.

First of all, here is a picture of mephiles

That's the first time I've seen Mephiles! And this proves that Mephiles is not a recolour of Shadow!!!!!! He looks too different to be a recolour of Shadow, plus that means everyone who has attempted to turn him into a character WAD for SRB2 GOT IT WRONG!!!!!!!! He has no nose, claws rather than gloves, and his spikes don't look anything like Shadow's as well as looking like crystals.

Now that I've seen the pic, Mephiles seems to be more awesome than I thought he was... Plus those 'spikes' seem more like a mixture of both blue and grey to me...

And Mephiles isn't even a Hedgehog. He's pure darkness of some kind, and he transformed himself to look like Shadow during the course of Sonic Next-Gen.

That's only one of his forms, actually.

Also I smell a locked thread. This does seem kind of pointless as a forum thread. More a short #srb2fun conversation.

That is blue. In Sonic Next-Gen, he does have grey quills when he looks like Shadow though.
