Lightdash not working

Okay, a part in my level needs lightdash to be on, okay? so..I type in 'lightdash on', and the ACTIVATE LIGHTDASH thing pops up then quickly goes away, then lightdash sets itself to 'off' again, what's the deal?
 
Oh, wow, that's stupid, most people don't make SA mode maps, so why'd they even bother doing that? what about people that have homing and lightdash in mind for regular maps, huh?
 
Set TYPEOFLEVEL to SA mode, run a script to turn off ANALOG and put a gravity-setting sector in your map.

Wa-la, homing and lightdashable.

The ability to turn homing and lightdash on in 1.09.2 was actually an accident. 1.08 and 1.09.0 don't allow you to do that.

Another alternative is to look into using Zoom Tubes.
 
Owch. SSN, is it okay if the Mac version has that for Sonic by default in Single Player? Otherwise, Sonic really has no advantage.

I used to love playing 1.08 over my school network and being the only one to get to use lightdash.
 
Lostgame, we intentionally do not have SA features in SRB2. The lightdash and homing attack are coded to prove we CAN code them. No, it is absolutely not alright for the Mac version to play differently from the Windows version. Sonic has SO much of an advantage with the thok. It is by far the most powerful move in the game.

Besides, isn't netgame compatibility kinda important? You change the game, and there is no way you could netgame between operating systems.
 
Yeah, and that makes the game WORSE by comparison if he does that. SRB2 has a look and feel that has been intentionally done. We don't have stupid gimmicks like the lightdash, homing attack, and other such nonsense in the game intentionally.
 
...Or you could make an SOC which edits SA mode which turns off analog and keeps gravity the same, just that :P.
