"Legacy"

There is certain char mods that I noticed there has been the word "legacy", but I don't understand. Any explain?

It means the mod is being remade and the current version is an old version.

That, or it’s a character from older builds of SRB2 that has been ported over to 2.2 (for example, Legacy Hinote)
