Last night, I was listening to the tunes for SRB2, and I noticed that once you get past Tunes 99, there are a couple of songs that aren't in the game. I understand that all of the chrismas tracks are from older versions, but... What's with 100-103? 101 (If that's the one I'm thinking of) sounds like a remixed version of the national anthem, and 100 and 102 (again, if those are the right ones) sound like elevator music. None of them sound sonicy though, so why are they in there?

also, can you make textures for things, like conveyor belts and springs? (I can think of a LOT of cool spring desings)

I've been thinking of trying my hand at wadding once more, so I might try making some textures. Don't count on it, though.

Beyond 1035 are the system stuff as well, like the title theme, invincibility, etc.

Conveyor belts are not things. They are sectors. A thing is an object that occupies a point, like a spring, enemy, flower, or Sonic himself.

You can texture sectors, you cannot texture things because they don't have a texture. You can DRAW another spring image and put it in the game, however.

The songs in slots 100-108 are music from Xmas mode. Play on December 25 and you'll see how that works.

Sector textures (used on floors and ceilings) are called "flats." Technically, in SRB2, a "texture" is something you put on a wall (sidedef).

How do you do that? Oh, and what about 1045? that sounds more like a remix of sonic 2's hidden palace than system music. are you sure that all of the tunes between 100-108 are christmas music? 100, 101 and 103 don't sound x-masy at all. And WHY are there so many gaps between music slots? I hate searching through hundreds of empty slots before I get to the music :?

There are 1035 slots for map music (1-1035). The special stuff (special stage, continue, title, character select) starts after that. The other gaps exist because at some point, the slots they're in made sense.

There's a list on my map header page.

100 - Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire
101 - O Come All Ye Faithful
103 - O Little Town of Bethlehem
1045 - Continue
