Is there anyway to make collectibles like emblems "obtainable" in splitscreem/multiplayer?

I don't even care if it saved the information when I ended the game, but I was wondering if this was a possibility. The people I end up playing splitscreen with are definitely "explorers" more than just playing through the level, so I wanted to know if those emblems can even be "gotten" in splitscreen (give them that exploration reward and such).

Not sure. I guess the best thing, for now, is the Freeplay mod. It converts the emblems to Red Star Rings, along with many other changes.
