Is my logic at fault?

Warpshade

Usually lurks somewhere.
Consider the following:

Now my thinking was as thus:

Me said:
Right, so if the distance between W and S = 0, then 0.12 > 0.06 is the only equation that matters, right? So it's gonna sway towards the left. If you move it to the right, not only is the distance between S and B (0.06) going to decrease, thus increasing the gradient further, but the distance between A and S will increase, as well as the force W which will increase the gradient further. So logically speaking, S needs to be moved left.
Is there a fault to my logic?

Meh, I always hated these in Physics. But essentially, you are right. To achieve equilibrium, you would suspend the balance close to the heavy side.

EDIT: Let me draw an explanation model.

EDIT2: I recalculated it. It should be moved closer to the right. Hopefully this diagram will help.

What about the 42 that would pull down if it was moved to the left?
If anything, the current fulcrum point is close to where it needs to be.
