There's a 2.01 server up (and full) right now with smsunleashed.wad, and the server is a yet-another-unnamed server. >_>

Why would people host unnamed servers? Are they trying to hide anything from us? (^_~)

"Banned from the MS" is a simpler way of saying "The way the MS works has changed, and thus no longer works with versions prior to 2.0 (unless you change some things in the source, that is)".

Yeah, what Matt said too, they'd only stay up for 2 minutes before going offline due to a change in the keep-up system.

So banning them completely is easier.

Basically, anything < 2.x.x won't work for more than 2 minutes.

It's removed from the MS after two minutes, but it's still up.

In fact, it's removed from the MS after 1. =P

Anything that doesn't use 2.0's code won't work on the MS, basically.

I think it should, A few friends of mine were able to get 1.08 working off the MS via IP's to use SPMoves, Even when 2.0 was out.

There is absolutely no way that they could stop you from hosting off of the MS. (Now if only exe versions before the latest one were also blocked out...)
