Invisible/Transparent walls help. (IE: Fences and Grass)

Okay, I'm having a bit of trouble making certain textures transparent, like a Mario fence, or THZ glass. How would I do this? I know how to do FOFS, so if I need to, I will use them.

No FOF is required to do this at all. It's possible to do this with FOFs (to be precise, intangible, sides-only FOFs) but it would be pointless and labor intensive. Like Kyasarin said, all you have to do is select the linedef you want to have the wall on, set its middle texture to the appropriate texture, and give the linedef the Lower Unpegged flag.
 
The fake floor effect is even better. Look at ACZ in your map editor for an example of this.
