I've seen lots of people with a sort of macro that says something like "(character name here) has arrived!" just as they enter the room, before it says "Player 2 renamed to (character name here)". How's this done?
Ugh, yes It is a autoexec script. Put say "BlahBlahBla" and as soon as you enter your first netgame it will say it before your name can come up. The Autoexec used to be a problem because I had a "Motd" in there and I kept cfailing because I try to add a illegal motd to the server.
You can also use set your color and skin too. Just in a file called autoexec.cfg (you can make it in notepad but make sure its saved as cfg, and not as txt) type commands and actions as desired. Another member can correct me if I'm wrong but I believe its something like:
name JEV3
skin Tails
color green
say /me has arrived
If I boot up a match game with this, then my name will change to JEV3, character to green Tails, and I will say "*JEV3* has arrived".
No. It executes when you start the game. it's just that the say command is delayed until you enter the game. Have you ever noticed that when you enter a game the console says "Chat is no longer muted"?
