Installer Problem...

The Installer won't even pop-up. All it shows is a command prompt for 1 second and then, it's gone. It never appears again.

SRB2's installer isn't a simple ZIP file. It's a self-extracting RAR archive, and thus an EXE file.

Sorry for being unclear, but what I mean is they should provide a simple ZIP file as an alternate.

There is no benefit of having an additional ZIP archive. In fact, you need a ZIP archiver to extract it, something that the self-extracter does by itself. It would only be a waste of space.

I think his point is that for people who already have ZIP-unpacking programs, a ZIP archive would be faster and easier to unpack than a self-extracter. While I admit that that is true, I agree with SpiritCrusher...a self-extractor is in general more convenient, and despite being a slightly more complicated process for people who can unpack ZIPs manually, it doesn't make enough of a difference to complain about.
