What music inspires you?

I don't know why, but Europe's The Final Countdown always puts me into a good mood for doing things. Hell March 1 and 2 from C&C: Red Alert 1 and 2 are good too.

This is mostly because I learned to play it on the piano.

Well, I always though that the Donkey Kong Land final boss theme got me going and ready, most of the final boss music from the DK series got me going, but if I had to choose one, I'd choose Crimson Gaze from Raiden Fighters, I can't remember if it was from 1 or 2 though.

Anyway... I am inspired by agressive while still emotional music compositions which often results in hardrock or heavy metal but does not necessarily have to be.

Sonata Arctica - Don't Say A Word

Symphony X - Eve Of Seduction
Hurt - Falls Apart

B.B. Evolution

It's been about three years since I first heard it and four dozen gigs of video game remixes later, still is some of the best guitar playing I've heard. Youtube doesn't do it justice.

Also makes me nostalgic for FF5.

I like the Sound from Nobuo Uemastu. (The Famous composer for the Final Fantasy, and Kingdom Hearts Series...) Some of his compositions outside of the video game realm is his famous piano works. I bought the Final fantasy VII piano collection, and I love it! Two of My favorite songs by him are "Aerith's theme," and "Tifa's Theme" (I think Aertih's theme on piano is so beautiful...) So if you ever get a chance, listen to Umatsu's music!

On a more serious note. Almost anything from Zero bass gets me going. Through the fire and flames too.
But if we're talking some inspirational music, then Braid's soundtrack takes the cake.

Seriously, just listening to lullaby set makes me go all philosophical and such, in contrast to the awesome feeling when listening to stuff such as spagonia's music.
