Hey all. The staff have noticed a pretty high bump on people leaking unfinished add-ons from our talented add-on creators along with sharing edits and patches of existing add-ons. We wish to remind everybody that this is not acceptable and will get you banned from the community pretty quickly if you're caught doing it.

Rule 17 of the rules and guidelines clearly states to be respectful to the people who create and refine community content. This does include allowing creators TO create and refine their own content freely. Our creators spends a lot of their free and unpaid time to create things they're proud of and to treat their work as nothing more than content that exists is incredibly disrespectful. It does not matter how much you want to play such and such an add-on nor does it matter if you personally think parts of an add-on needs to be improved, that's not your call to make.

Exceptions are in place through the Open Assets policy for certain add-ons and add-on creators are free to provide personal exceptions through the individual add-on thread or by giving individual users permission to do so.
