Im trying to make the textures look like n64 era textures but whenever i change it it tiles it really small... how do i make it tile bigger?
Is there a way to have the texture filter be more blurry than it is... im trying to make it look like an n64 game and if i change the resolution its just going to look pixelated.Increase the resolution.
the problem there is that srb2 has a color pallet that can only have so many colors, whenever i do that the quality of a texture when imported into the game lowers drastically...In just about any image editor, you can resize it with a method other than Nearest Neighbor, and it'll try to improve the quality of it. It usually looks like a blurry mess, but if that's your goal, that may work... but the texture may not repeat cleanly if you do, so you'll probably have to edit it afterwards for clean tiling. Aseprite also uses Rotsprite as a method for resizing too, if you have that, which may also give you the look you want? It would tile better, usually.
That's not really doable, I think. SRB2 has a strict 256 color palette. There's a reason Doom has its distinctive pixelated look. All the N64 textures I've converted ended up way less blurry for that reason, although 2.2.14 is adding a texture scaling feature that may help you.Is there a way to have the texture filter be more blurry than it is... im trying to make it look like an n64 game and if i change the resolution its just going to look pixelated.
