im trying to make a race track for srb2 ( not kart ) and the wiki tells nothing ( well what i can find

A race map is set up just like any other level. That's it, that's how Race works: You start from the start and reach the exit, no checkpoints required.

If you're thinking of a circuit map, the which allows for lap based racing and requires the player to hit all checkpoints in order, that requires a bit more setup which can be found in the link I added.
