im having a problem with some character wads not showing up

This is what is happening (it has happened to me in the past also)

I have some wads that wont show up at all on the character select screen.
I tried adding them by both the console method and the srb2 launcher and i am sure that they have added to the game. I can assure that these wads work though because I've gotten them from the forums and read people discuss how awesome they are. One of the wads is from srb2.org, it's the nitemare one, and it has worked before on my computer.
Does anyone know what i can do to make them actually show up in the game so i can play as them and/or how to fix the problem?

I'm using SONIC ROBO BLAST II: Final Demo v1.09.4, which is the download on the site.

Not all character wads show up on the Character Select screen.

Access them via console (SKIN SHADOW as an example) or through the Setup Player options under multiplayer.

Note: to switch skins in 1P, you need to activate Developer Mode (DEVMODE in the console). This modifies the game.

Actually, when you add character wads to the game it modifies the game already.

Not if you use alternate save files. :P

Also, if the wads don't show up in the SP menu, it's because the creator is lazy and the wad is probably crap.
