I'd like to make a health addon for SRB2, but i'm not quite sure where to get started.

I'm just now getting started with coding, but i'm a bit hung up on making a health system. Where should I get started?

(I haven't done much good LUA in a while, so this may not be entirely correct, but) I think it would be a good idea to have a variable made, and a way to show the variable onscreen. If that's what you want.
