It would be in your best interest to give SRB2 modding a shot by yourself.
We have a wiki with lots of information about the game, both internal and external, and out there in the internet there are plenty of video tutorials for doing different things, including Lua scripting.
It's hard to point you to a specific direction without knowing what exactly are you planning to do, but there are resources for almost anything you might possibly want to do with the game!
