I want to be able to learn how to make characters and lua so i can also be able to help this community have fun

There is actually a conveniently-located character tutorial on the wiki, along with an ability tutorial. If you're wanting to do some more complicated Lua, such as Skip's monitor crafting or Silver's telekinesis, I'd recommend you start off writing a few scripts that get progressively longer. Again, the resources are available on the wiki.
