I really need help changing the port number.

I keep using portfoward for information, but it tells me go to and type 192.168.2.1 in the address box. When I try it just says it cannot be found everytime! For those you notice I made a topic about it, but barely anyone respond like only one did so I wait and wait, but nothing.If someone can help me changing my port to 5029 that be a real big help please someone help please!

That would be 192.168.1.1, not 192.168.2.1, that might be your problem right there.

no, some routers setup a network from a gateway address another then 192.168.1.1

see, like mine is 192.168.0.254, every network setup is different.

If you want to find out what that IP is Max, open up a command window and type in ipconfig and press enter. That should give you a list similar to the one Logan showed you.

I did everything it says on portforwarding.com and it still didn't work. I would make a server and I would get the same results, nothing. Seriously portforwarding doesn't work for me.........

Firewalls can screw you up. I can't host because my router's firewalls will not allow me to.

Now I got another problem with changing the port number it's asking for a user name and a password. I tried looking for an anserw on port foward. I saw nothing to help me on there about user name or password to get into the the port to change my number. Can anyone help me know how to know what my user name and the password to get into the port to change the number?

If it isn't already a true password set by someone else, admin/admin got me into mine.
