Try running with the -noasm parameter.

This is a curious one, but I've seen it a few times. Has anyone worked out why it happens?

Eh, lol It worked! Thanks.

What did -noasm do to make it work?

Some parts of SRB2 are written in assembler. The -noasm switch causes those parts to fall back to the equivalent C routines. The crash you reported was occurring in the ASM code. As I said above, I still don't know why it was crashing there.

the x86 ASM code rewrites itself, this works fine and well on a one CPU setup, but in other setups, well, it does it in the the wrong CPU or core, and BOOM!

Inspecting the error log, it looks like this user was using Vista, judging from "C:\Users\Username" rather than "C:\Documents and Settings\Username". XP uses the latter. The point is that it seems the computer must be relatively new and I wouldn't be surprised if it were an Intel Core 2 Duo. If Logan was on the ball, that would've explained it. :)

The error log shows only one processor (dual-core processors also show up as 2). Also, I've run it on dual-core processors without any problem, and in any case, SRB2 is single-threaded. Could it be something to do with DEP?
