If you typed that in console while playing in Race mode, that should have worked.

Maybe you're playing splitscreen? I haven't been able to do time-only in there, though I haven't been able to try that console command yet.

You haven't answered one question, though: you DID pull down the console (hit the tilde key, or the one just underneath Escape) and type that in, or did you attempt it somewhere else? Because "somewhere else" won't cut it.

Well when i'm on srb2 I like to do Time-only races but when I tried it today it only did race why did it do that?

I'm not completely sure what you mean. Do you mean that it still counts rings and stuff to your score?

It's supposed to be still race, it just won't count stuff like rings. Here, finish a level in Time-Only Race and take a screenshot, then post it here.
