I can't access the console

I got a new computer recently and re-downloaded SRB2. I also downloaded a ton of WADS and went to upload them via the console. Unfortunately, when I hit the ` key on the title screen, rather than pulling down the console, it caused me to access the game menu (just as if I had pressed any key on the title screen).

Is this an error associated with Windows 7 and/or 64-bit computers? And is there some way around it?

I appreciate it if someone can help me (And sorry if this was posted before - I searched pretty deep in the forums to make sure I wasn't re-asking a question that was asked 420 times already. Sorry if I missed it).

The console is a configurable key. Go into your control options and set it to whatever you'd like.

Wow. I skimmed the control options a dozen times looking to see if I could do that. I feel dumb haha. Thanks.

It has happened to me before.I pressed the Escape key and then it worked.If it happens again try this idea.
