HQ Sprite Mod?

I just saw the SSNTails video of him coloring the 2.0 sprites, and I wonder, is there an HQ Sprite mod out there? I couldn't find one. And, if there is none, are there HQ Sprites in the files or something? (Probably not)

SSN Sonic HD and SSN Tails HD exist. That's the closest you can get.
The high-res versions of the sprites were never meant to be used in the game.
