I know this seems a bit awry, but I feel that the rudeness against new members needs to slow down a bit. Some members have been saying things like "moron" to others when they ask a simple question. I know it's hard to resist the urge to attack, but is it absolutely neccessary? What is going to become of new members' impression of our community? Their opinion may force them away from here, and thus SRB2 loses another neighbor.
Maybe it is alright to get onto older members who do something extremely weird/against the rules. It seems to make sense, those members know whats right from wrong here at our SRB2 neighborhood. But we still shouldn't get very mean.

Thank you and good night.

While I generally agree that people should treat each other better, my previous forum experience tells me that this will not lead to a good conversation, and hence, I have pre-emptively locked the topic.

I do plan to put forth a few new regulations later, but the core issue is that many people really do deserve to get yelled at. Many people come here and ask questions that could be answered, never mind by search, but by the stickies on the topic. Lots of people completely ignore the clearly stated rules and regulations of the forum. It is very hard for many people to ignore other people being stupid, and honestly, the only way the mocking of idiots will stop is if I ban *.*.*.* from the forums.

We do all we can to deal with the more flagrant offenses, but the little things are always going to get under the radar, and sadly there really isn't anything we can do about it.
