How to set specific palletes for levels?

How do I set a specific pallete for a level using playpal? not by using the pallete setting in maincfg

You have to use the pal header in maincfg to work. I even made a Guide on this: https://mb.srb2.org/addons/custom-palettes.2440/

Yes its for kart but the setup is the same
