How to make SRB2 TASes?

I ask because I can't get Hourglass to run with SRB2, the game crashes before it can get to the intro...

you can run it in a virtualbox/vmware/docker desktop that runs linux so you can run libtas on windows, or, you can just boot a linux distro on your pc and install it (be careful because you might dont wanna make a mistake in a installer as that will erase the whole drive so windows cant boot and only linux can be booted)
