How to make character mods for 2.2?

Hello there, person reading this!
I'm looking for a way to make characters for V2.2, since the wiki is outdated.
Anyone know some info on how to do this, or know how to port a V2.1 character?

Even though the wiki says it’s outdated, I’m pretty sure that alot of the stuff on there about Character mods stayed relatively the same. Though I’m not sure 100%, considering I haven’t delved into coding yet for SRB2.
 
V2.1. Characters can be ported by changing the skin names and convert them into the 2.2. palette (but i recommend importing the sprites all over again if you have images of it saved on a folder ).
