How to make a NiGHTS level?

With BSZ, I know that the flight path isn't a source-code thing, so how how do you make a flight path? I'm planning on making a Reala-type level, where you paraloop each other(though the loser has to run out of time first, not get looped 3 times). I may also put an audience-like area for people to watch the battle. Any help would be fine.

All you have to do is make the header set for a NiGHTS level, and place things like hoops and axis changes everywhere, If I remember correctly.

Well, gee, that's helpful! Why not try telling him how to place hoops and axes correctly, seeing as how that's where most everyone gets stuck? Because, y'know, I'm sure you know how these levels work.

You can place hoops and axis as things onto maps. 90 degree axis rotations will rotate your view 90 degress, to act as a turn in NiGHTS. depending on the angle and place you put this, you can decide which way you turn. Hoops can also be places using this method, and can be rotated to suit your needs. An Ideya drone is the start and end point of a NiGHTS circuit, AKA, the thing you touch to become super, and start flying around. You need one of these for it to be a true NiGHTS map.
Learn to make a good judgement before calling a bluff.

Pretty bold words, there. Okay, so I went over your lengthy 'guide' there with WadAuthor open just now, and, oddly enough, I still have no idea how this works. You could've tried explaining how to place the axes and how one would go about rotating the hoops to suit my needs.

There are all sorts of iffy complications involved in making a NiGHTS map that you completely skipped over; I recall JTE saying something about the axes having to be placed 256 (Or 512, can't recall) fracunits apart, and I'm almost certain that there are bitset complications involved. How would one go about placing an Ideya Capture on the map without causing a sigsev?

These are the things you need to take into account when giving directions in this manner. Never give the other end of the spectrum a single bit of leeway; elaborate, disect each and every detail and make the presentation as readable as possible to ensure that no one has a mental abortion along the way.

As a matter of fact, come to think of it, what you've done here is exactly what your whole STARZ shtick has been accomplishing all this time. You've done nothing but highlight major details and regurgitate basic facts that most everyone knows by now, that's not how a proper referrence works. Of course, I have to take everything you say with a grain of salt, as you clearly have no idea how NiGHTS maps work, anyway. I call your bluff and raise you a cactus.

Cactus oh noes

There really has to be an easier way of making a NiGHTS map. I've never tried it, but from what I've heard, it's Hell. Probably E2M8, too.

Question is... how would one improve it?

Yes. Yes. Yes. I swore profanities out of my butt so much working on BSZ.

You know, it's funny how I'm silent whenever this question comes up. I might write a little tutorial soon.

Place an axis point in a map, and then place the ideya drone. Play it and see what happens.

I need to really just make one big circle...

Use axis point size of 2048 and just place an ideya drone along the edge of the radius.

it'd be nice if there was a mod for doom builder and/or wadauthor that would put maybe a dotted yellow line for cirtain nights angle sprites. (the circle where the connections and drones would connect) *Sees if he can make a simple nights map*
