how to edit doom graphics in slade

i try to draw pixels but nothing shows up. can somebody help?

I think you have to make sure that you have selected a Pixel size and shape.

why is the "icon" so small? thats almost one pixel! so fudging small!

Because the icon changes based on the selected brush.
For some reason, even though it displays the 1 pixel brush icon, no brush is initially selected.
