How to change your server color?

I'm looking at Cue's server listing and I see a server with rainbow colors as its name.

How do you get these "colors"?
 
I think you type

or a random number to get a color.

Go into srb2 and use listserv on cue's MS.

It should show you.

I think I saw a another server name do that and it was red.(Ezar.arch)
 
Cue's MS parses Quake color codes, and Cue's just being a showoff.

Naturally, anyone ingame will just see it as ^(whatever) so it's pretty much useless.

(unless you're like me)
 
Flame has done it too. Yes, it's Quake colours, I was testing out the bot and master server page against them to see if they worked.
 
lol, I love how oblivious most of the answers here are.

The ^1, ^2, and whatnot doesn't have an affect in-game at all, it just affects the server listing, and it looks normal in-game.

To get colors in game, there are special characters you use, but it shows up wrong on the MS page.

In addition, I'm not going to tell you the special cahracters because Flame will get mad. =3

But I didn't tell you the characters. I told you exactly what was in my previous post, but without the part about the ^1 and stuff.
