I would like everyone to do this test properly without editing the screenshots or trying to cheat the system. If you do, I'll tell you guys to try to emulate Final Fantasy X on PCSX2 :) Then if you lied, my laptop will show you how powerful this computer _really_ is :)

I want you guys to download cpu-z here: http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-138.zip

Extract it to your desktop inside a folder and run the program. (cpuz.exe)
NOTE: Give it time for it to load as it needs to check its database and give you the proper information for your cpu.

Then download the SuperPI Mod 1.5 program from here: http://www.xtremesystems.com/pi/super_pi_mod-1.5.zip

Extract it to its own folder and run it.

Now to test your cpu speed:

1) Close as many programs as you can
2) Open the program
3) Click the "Calculate" menu
4) For the first test, select "1M". Then when it finishes, do the calculation to "2M".

NOTE: This could take up from 5 - 10 minutes depending on how fast your computer is.

Now, I will post my screenshots of the program finished so you will know how to post your screenshots as it needs to look like mine or your computer is a "NULL ENTRY!"

And there we go.

How fast are your CPU's?

Follow my instructions, do them and post the screenshots in the same way that I do for consistency.

Let's put it this way
Intel = Great for office stuff (such as Super Pi) Terrible at everything else
Athlon = Great for gaming (WHEEE!) Goodish for everything else :)

It's true. kthnxbai

I had a load of stuff running when I did that, I'll do it again without anything running in a sec.

I bought this pc a year ago, and personally, I don't care if it's puny compared to someone else's, they wasted their money buying a pc that'll be weak in a year after the Athlon Quad core processor comes out :)

And guess who's getting one, along with a 1GB Graphics Card

Hey, Cue, maybe you should get something that you'll actually use? Who needs teh uber-l33t quad core and 1Gb of memory on your graphics card when you could get something that can do what you want it to do for a cheaper price? I know for a fact that I'd have no use for both.

Thar we go. I have no intention of upgrading this computer unless there is a game tht will require me to; although a dul-core CPU my help me a bit, even without the game.

<blah> <blah> <blah>

You'd be suprised, games are getting better...
And yes, it is l33t.

Also, I thought you had a Dual Core one?

"Getting better"? FFVII and VIII pwned all in my book. :P

I hve dual-core on my laptop, and it runs much faster than the desktop when running multiple programs, so I may consider getting one next year.

FFVII was a great game.

It was not, however, the best game, let alone RPG, that I have ever played. Honestly, I thought Skies of Arcadia was better.

And some of us DO use the high-tech stuff. Couldn't run Half-Life 2 at more or less maximum quality at 1680x1050 otherwise.

Jees shadow hog, what type of crazy sized monitor do you have anyway.
(Probably some big Massive high def' jobby)

1680x1050? I personally dont mind the difference beetween 640x400 and 1280x800.

Wait untill 2012, everyone will have huge hd screens with a max of like... 2164724637284683290 x 632745968327888.

And without veering too off topic
751 MHz intel pentium 3 with a 256 ram

(I couldnt be bothered dl'ing something to tell me my laptop sucks :P)

(offtopic"The letter E!"offtopic)
