How do you save the game in version 2.0

I know this is a very stupid question but how do save the game? I tried pushing the "`,~" button and typing SAVE <SLOT 1> and SAVE <SLOT> <1> but nothing happens.

It autosaves. When you press on "Start Game", you can choose a save slot that saves your progress per zone.

Yeah, it's been changed since 1.09.4.
