How do YOU pronounce Hydrocity Zone?

I Say Hydro-City. 2 Words.
In The Upcoming Sonic Superstars, There Is A Zone Called Lagoon City.
2. WORDS.
I Think That Confirms That Sega Says Hydro City, But Hey, Maybe I'm Wrong.

sega didnt confirm it, however yuji naka (who is known to have bad memory) said that he "believes" its hydro city, but i have a whole list of reasons why i think its hydrawcity, here you go,



if it was hydro city (dro pronounced like in bro) then why would they not write it as 2 words? literally every other single zone name in sonic 3 and knuckles is 2 words. angel island, marble garden, carnival night, ice cap, launch base, mushroom hill (formerly mushroom valley), flying battery, lava reef, hidden palace, sky sanctuary, death egg. the only other zone names that are one word are doomsday (, which already is a word) and sandopolis (, which would only make sense to be one word), so why would they make hydrocity one word? hydro city has a somewhat different meaning than hydrocity, so why wouldnt they just put a space there like every other 2 word zone name in the game? (plus, city is already a seperate word unlike the opolis in sandopolis and doomsday is just one word in the dictionary)

key points in my argument to prove the correct pronunciation is hi-DRAW-sit-ee not hi-drow-SIT-ee:

doomsday is one word in the dictionary and sandopolis only makes sense to be one word

hydro city is more clear to be 2 words and spelling makes more sense to be hi-draw-sit-ee in english phonetics

there is no space in between hydro and city, when they clearly would have put one if they wanted to make it 2 words

hydro is a prefix, not a word


i also accidentally put ice cap as 2 words, in the game its 1 word, but icecap is still grammatically correct

lagoon is a word and hydro is a prefix, these are 2 different points mixed into one, leading to a somewhat inaccurate explanation
 
Hydro-City. The pun implied by the name is unlike anything else seen within Sonic 3, nor Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic 2, or Sonic 1.

It does resemble ancient city, and I'm pretty sure it's been implied by people working with Sega to be Hydro-City. I don't think that just because you go fast (which happens in every other zone) that it implies it's a pun on hydro and velocity.

Hydro-City was probably reduced to Hydrocity to save space on the screen or smthn, idk.

Honestly, I don't see that to be the case, as Marble Garden has more words than Hydro-City and it saves enough on the screen.

This is actually quite a good counter-point. Sonic 3 (standalone) is pretty much a representative when it comes to speed, similliar to Sonic 2, so having Hydro-City be one word just because it happens to be a fast-paced zone isn't that much of an excuse. If that is an excuse, then I may aswell name Ice Cap as Icecap. :threat:
 
I have always pronounced it as Hi-draw-city.

I don't really care if you pronounce it as two words, I'll understand what you're talking about, but I will die on the hill that it's one word.
Also, it's not "jif" or "gif". It's "gee-eye-eff".
