How do you exactly get .rar files working in SRB2K? (Or just SRB2 in general.)

Ive found a couple addons that use this file type but none of them seemed to work...
Any ideas, people who are smarter than me?

Open it with 7zip/Winrar and look inside, the files will be there

The game can't read .rar files.
The game *can* read .wad and .pk3 files though.

If whatever you download comes in a .zip or a .rar package, then you need to open it up and extract the actual mod.
