you know when you join a game you are automadically changed to a name, how do you change it? I want it to be Supersonia instead of Panda

If I'm not mistaken, the default name is whatever your username is in Windows. Changing that should change your default name.

Though you can just as easily just rename yourself when you join a game.

You create it. This is not something you download.

Right-click -> new Text Document -> name it (or rename it) "autoexec.cfg". Then put that line in there. That's it.

There is no link. What you do is create a new file in notepad and put this:
Code:
 name Supersonia

Then you save the file as "Autoexec.cfg"

culd u give me the link to it? i don't have it

Please work on your grammar and "u" isn't acceptable on the forums.

For whatever reason, SRB2 defaults to the name of the user account on your computer. The internal name, mind, as changing it after you make the account won't change the internal one.

Think of autoexec.cfg as a list of console commands that will execute when you start the game. For whatever reason, in netgames your name will still revert to "Player X". To fix this I just use a key bind, and I press that key after entering the game.

My apologies for the grammar. I will use better Grammar now.

Big row of Admin posts. o.o

You can also change it by going on Multiplayer>Setup Player> Then do the stuff there

Indeed. That method is easier for the computer illiterate and I'm so very, very suprised that nobody has even MENTIONED it. >_>

Just goes to show you how many people... meh.

Me? Yeah, I do the key-binding thing as well.

However, that last method only works in netgames.

If you, fer some reason, want your name to be different OUTSIDE netgames, then autoexec.cfg is the way to go.
