How do I point the SOC editor to custom sprites?

I'm creating a new enemy for use in Tortured Planet (I may also release it separately for public use, but that's beside the point right now). Anyway, this enemy uses a new set of sprites, SPLT. But since these sprites are not in the IWAD, the SOC editor can't use them! How do I get the SOC editor to find the custom sprites?
 
You use the free slots for sprites, F###. I dont remember how high the numbers go, but you also have all the sprite slots PLR can use too, IIRC, so you cna have F100A to B be a sprite set and F100C and D be a whole different one, this way, other socs are compatible if they use say, F101 or F099.
