I once made a game using Game Maker 5. it was called Eat The Hamburger. It involved guiding a random hamster to the hamburger through a burning building.
It was rather entertaining. I haven't made anything using the new Game Maker yet.
It's okay for it youre making a simple 2D game. but you need to either hack a really good engine or use C++ if you're making anything complicated.

I've changed my mind on this. What I want to do is make a mario clash game but in COLOR. So I'm going to need help on how I'm going to get sprites in the background.
