How do I edit some things?

I want to know if there's some script I could use to edit the credits, and what the main menu says. Like, if I make my own version of SA example, and have it show up as a different name. If anyone knows how to do it, please help me!

Yeah, there's no SOC for that, far as I know, it's all in M_Menu.c

Total newbie to programming.

You have to compile the changes into a new .exe file. Duh.

The menu will show the new text that you compiled in the new exe.
The actual level will still show SA Example on it's titlecard unless you edit the MAINCFG lump in srb2.srb, thus making SRB2 scream in pain at you until you reinstall.

NEVER modify SRB2.SRB.
Make a new MainCFG lump in XWE instead, and alter it however you want.
