how do i code in custom textures for dash mode

so, i'm currently working on a custom character mod called zeke the hedgehog (link is here if you wanna check it out zeke the hedgehog) and i wanna give him custom sprites for when he's in dash mode, but i don't know how to set it up, could someone lend me a hand?

In metal sonic’s sprite’s he has a sprite name called DASH, which is for his dashmode sprites. So i guess making Dash sprites for zeke would do the trick. :)
