How do I add WADs in the Ubuntu version?

Whenever I try to add WADs into the folder, it won't let me. For some reason, every single folder in there cannot be modified, and there is no other place on my system where SRB2 is. I was looking in the system folders, if you want to know. I'm rather new to Ubuntu and Linux in general, so could i get some help?

SRB2 for Linux looks for user wads in ~/.srb2, open your file manger and type into the location bar: "~/.srb2", that should drop you into SRB2's user folder

yes, you can copy gamedata.dat to ~/.srb2
