You can get an example wad here. It's much quicker to provide this than to describe the steps. It's not particularly difficult, but it involves linedef executors.

The Wiki still isn't the absolute best resource available. Until that is worked out (I've been doing what I can on lines and sectors), example wads are a tad more practical. That's not to say the Wiki shouldn't be used. It's entirely possible that what you're looking for is there.
