I was having a look at dedicated back in 1.09.3.8 but couldn't get it to work.
So today I was thinking to myself, I wonder if I can get it to work in 1.09.3.12. And so I tried, and guess what I found
Lookies
Player 1 is Chabo by the way.
To do dedicated follow these instructions:
1. Make a new Batch File.
2. Insert this line into the Batch File "srb2win.exe -dedicated -internetserver" (without the " of course)
3. Put the Batch File into your srb2 directory
4. Make a file called adedserv.cfg, it acts just like autoexec.cfg so put in anything you need:
servername <name> (must be without spaces)
password <password> (to login from other places)
and anything else you want (motd?)
5. Run the Batch File!
< and > are there to indicate what to put in, don't include them ^.^
And there we have it, one dedicated server, no form ingame and a chunk of memory less :D
Have Fun ;)
UPDATE: It would appear that you cannot do a dedicated server at the moment as all users see is gameover even when you try map changing etc :(
Atleast we're halfway there
