Does the Master Emerald still make you turn Hyper?

That said, does the Master Emerald do anything besides disappear when you touch it?

Hmm... In Coop i got the Master emerald (Needs 7 chaos to get it!) but when you startrings you only turn super, not hyper.
WTF Is it for anyway?

Hmm... maybe it's there to be there, and to have something to keep you from getting the God Menu easily.

The Admin's aren't some kind of omniesent being that can answer any question, many of which no one else can answer.

Anyways, the Black Emerald is utterly useless unless you get it without modifying the game.
